Kangana Ranaut’s 'Manikarnika' producer Kamal Jain admitted to hospital; recovering well

With just a week left for the release of upcoming film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, the film's producer Kamal Jain was on Saturday taken to the Kokilaben Hospital and is now recuperating well. While several reports had suggested that his condition was "critical after suffering a paralytic stroke", we hear that the speculations of a paralytic stroke were nothing but rumours.

A leading news agency quoted Vikesh Kumar, communication head at Jain's production house Kairos Kontent Studios, as saying, "He is okay. He is suffering from throat infection and chest infection. He took a lot of stress with all the ongoing work for the film. But the infection is under control now and he will get discharged from the hospital in two-three days."

He further dismissed reports that Kamal Jain's condition was critical, he said: "People say a lot of things. That's not the case for sure." We wish him a healthy recovery!

Meanwhile, earlier in the day, Kamal shared an update on his condition and posted a heartfelt message for the entire team of Manikarnika. Stating that he is with them in 'spirit and soul', the producer wrote, "Dear friends, this certainly is not the best time to be in hospital. Hope to get well soon and enjoy the success of our collective dream & hardwork. My best wishes to all."

For the unversed, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain and Nishant Pitti, is slated to hit the screens on January 25. In fact, the Kangana starrer has been grabbing headlines ever since the actress took over the reins of the film in her hands post director Krish's exit.

The film, which captures the life story of Rani Laxmiba, also features Ankita Lokhande, Atul Kulkarni, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Danny Denzongpa, Suresh Oberoi and Jisshu Sengupta in pivotal roles.
