Akshay Kumar's present for you on Lohri is a picture from the sets of Kesari

Akshay Kumar shared a picture from the sets of his upcoming film Kesari on Sunday to commemorate Lohri and wished his fans and followers on social media. The picture is a polaroid photograph that features Akshay as a Sikh warrior along with his clan.

Directed by Anurag Singh, Kesari is a war drama based on the Battle of Saragarhi in which an army of 21 Sikhs fought against the Afghans in 1897.

The first posters of Kesari were released on September 12, 2018, as the day is commemorated as Saragarhi Day.

In Kesari, Akshay sports a turban for his role of a Sikh warrior and while speaking of it at a press conference last year, he had said that wearing a turban filled him with pride.

Kesari casts Parineeti Chopra opposite Akshay and the actors completed filming in December. Backed by Cape of Good Hope Films and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Kesari is scheduled to release on March 21, 2019.
