The Accidental Prime Minister: How Anupam Kher transformed into Manmohan Singh; watch video

Transforming into Dr Manmohan Singh for his upcoming film The Accidental Prime Minister wasn’t an easy task for Anupam Kher. It took hours to get the look in place and required extraordinary effort and we got a glimpse of it on Instagram. Mr Kher shared a 20-second clip of “the two-hour job” as the actor is seen prepping for his character in the video made available online. The Vijay Ratnakar Gutte-directed film is based on Sanjaya Baru’s memoir of the same name. Akshaye Khanna plays the role of Baru in the film - Dr Singh’s media advisor.

“This is a 20sec time lapse video of a two hour job done by my great make and wardrobe team. Thank you dearest Abhilasha for your brilliant costume design,” Mr Kher wrote along with the video on Instagram as he thanked his team, responsible for his look of Dr Manmohan Singh in The Accidental Prime Minister.
