Shah Rukh Khan advances shoot for Rakesh Sharma's biopic Salute to divert attention from Zero's debacle?

Shah Rukh Khan last appeared on the silver screen in Aanand L. Rai’s film Zero, also starring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. Although the film was appreciated by some, it could not do wonders at the box-office and was panned by the critics as well. However, SRK isn’t someone who will sit and reel over the failure of the film and we hear that he has already begun preparing for his next, the Rakesh Sharma biopic titled Salute.

As per a report in a leading daily, the actor has decided to dive headlong into the shoot of his next. And after taking a decision with producer Siddharth Roy Kapur, SRK might begin filming for Salute in February itself instead of the earlier slated schedule in May this year. The report further suggests that Shah Rukh desires to shift attention away from the failure of his last offering Zero and rather focus on his forthcoming film.

Incidentally, the actor will be wearing a spacesuit in order to shoot for a number of scenes in the film and thus, the makers are keen to wrap up that particular schedule before summers. The daily quoted a source as saying, "The project is expensive. In a bid to ensure that the film doesn't exceed the budget, Kapoor and Khan find it imperative to start shooting by February. Doing so will help them wrap up the main schedule before summer. Given that certain crucial scenes must be filmed outdoors, the duo felt shooting in the bulky costumes would be impossible during those months."

Now as we await SRK to woo us with a space drama like never before, we wonder who will join him as the female lead in the much-awaited film.
