It is only the first day of 2019, and the year has already started looking up for film buffs. After the first look poster of Ranveer Singh’s and Alia Bhatt’upcoming film Gully Boy was unveiled, now the first look poster of Ajay Devgn in Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior has also been unveiled.

Ajay plays the role of the heroic Koli warrior Tanaji Malusare of the Maratha Empire who fought alongside Chhatrapati Shivaji. In the first look, we get to see Ajay dressed for a conflict with an uncovered sword in his right hand, face hidden beneath the cloth from his turban and traversing the distance from a cliff to another, rappelling on a rope. He is looking fierce and his eyes portray the emotion as only that is uncovered. He is followed by his aides in the poster. Ajay can also be seen wearing three short knives on the belt around his torso and a couple more at the waist.

Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior is directed by Om Raut and also stars Kajol and Saif Ali Khan. Kajol plays the role of Ajay’s wife in the film. Saif plays the role of Udaybhan Rathod,  a Rajput officer appointed by Jai Singh, chief of the Mughal army under Aurangzeb. The film is slated to hit the theaters on November 22, 2019, and is produced by T-series honcho Bhushan Kumar.
