Deepika Padukone has confirmed that she is working on a superhero film and shared details of the project during an exclusive interview with a leading magazine. Although no script has been formulated for the film as yet, Deepika said that the idea germinated while she was discussing the kind of films she would like to make with a friend of hers from the industry. Nevertheless, Deepika is hoping that the film materialises soon and we hope so too.
“Yes, I’m working on it. I hope it happens. There’s no script as yet. It’s something my friend and I are developing. I was in the plane with a friend from the industry and talking about the movies we’d like to make. We realised that this superhero film is something we’d like to make. It’s a seed we’re nurturing," Deepika told the magazine.

Deepika, meanwhile, is excited to begin work on her next film - Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak, based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Asked if she will proceed with the superhero film after Chhapaak, Deepika told the magazine, “It could be. But it needs to come together. All the elements in the film need to be correct. From the characters to the director, everything needs to be fixed.”
While nothing has been finalized or officially announced, the buzz is that Padukone will be producing the film under her production house banner.
Well, as we said, we cannot wait to watch Deepika portray the role of a superhero. In fact, it would be great to watch her as Wonder Woman in the Hindi interpretation of the Hollywood film, isn't it? Wonder Woman is a fantasy film that released in 2017 and starred Gal Gadot in the titular role.
