That's not my behaviour: Katrina on her Zero character being inspired from her break-up with Ranbir

Although Aanand L Rai's directorial Zero has received mixed reviews from the critics and audience, it is Katrina Kaif's convincing portrayal of heartbroken alcoholic superstar Babita Kumari that has left everyone impressed. In fact, ever since the film has released, people have been speculating that Kat's role is inspired from her real life break up with Ranbir Kapoor.

For the unversed, Katrina plays a nervous wreck in Zero after Abhay Deol's character Aditya Kapoor jilts her, which was considered a manifestation of her real life heartbreak with Ranbir. However, the actress has now trashed all reports of her taking any inspiration from her real life situation in an interview and said, "I knew that people are gonna try and connect the dots but I also knew that when they see the film they can't do that because the pitch of that character is so different. The pitch of that character is not me...That's not me. That's not my behaviour."

She further added, "To me the way she's (Babita) talking (in the film), to me it is outlandish as a person that I am."

Meanwhile, in another interview with Rajeev Masand, Katrina had maintained the same stance and said, "I'm exactly the opposite of her. I'm very subtle. Everything for me is underplayed...So that to me as a person is like 'fake'. It would read to me as 'Fake'."

Looks like Katrina wants to put all these rumours to rest.
