Katrina Kaif was one of the early guests at Deepika Padukone’s and Ranveer Singh’s reception in Mumbai on December 1 and she had a great time at the do as she danced with the couple and also hugged the new bride. Deepika and Ranveer married in a private ceremony in Italy on November 14 and hosted a reception for their friends and colleagues from the film fraternity at The Grand Hyatt later.
While speaking to an entertainment portal, Katrina reminisced memories of the “warm and fun evening” and said that she was at the party for a long time and left early morning the next day. “There are some moments which are too special and private to talk about and not meant for a public platform. What’s important was that it was a really warm and fun evening and we all had a good time. There was a lot of love and we all danced and ate and had great fun! I was there till the wee hours of the morning,” Katrina told the portal.

Until the reception party, several quarters of the press speculated whether Katrina, would at all, attend the do until reports insisted that she was invited by Ranveer. It might be interesting to note at this point that Deepika, in fact, had told Neha Dhupia during her celebrity chat show BFFs with Vogue that she wouldn’t invite Katrina to her wedding function. Clearly, thus, Deepika and Katrina have put their past behind them. Past, do you ask? Okay, in case you are unaware of their equation (highly impossible, though), we’ll remind you.
Deepika dated Ranbir Kapoor, her co-star of films Bachna Ae Haseeno, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Tamasha, for two years before parting ways. After Deepika, Ranbir dated Katrina – her Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani co-star – and separated from her in 2016. Gossip columns, thus, suggest that Deepika ever since hasn’t been quite fond of Katrina.
But that’s done with, folks as Katrina said that she had decided to attend Deepika’s and Ranveer’s reception soon after she received the invite. “I was invited to the reception by them for sure and the instinct in my heart was to go, I felt I would like to go. There was no other thought behind it and we had very nice, warm, happy night,” Katrina added.

However, pictures of Katrina and Deepika are what the internet longed for that didn’t happen. Seems like Katrina desired for a photographic memory as well, as she told the portal, “Unfortunately, there wasn’t any pic taken. Though I would have loved to have one, but I think more important is the fact that we all had a good time.”
Katrina Kaif, last seen in Thugs Of Hindostan, is currently gearing up for the release of her new film Zero, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. Directed by Aanand L Rai, Zero will release on December 21.
