Kedarnath: After shooting on Uttarakhand sets, Sara Ali Khan says she would ‘go into the car feeling like a total victim’

Kedarnath is Sara Ali Khan’s first film and filming it was certainly a difficult task for the young actress, as she admitted during an interview with a leading international channel. So much so, that Sara, at times, walked into her car after shoot “feeling like a total victim”, she said during her interview. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, Kedarnath is a love story set in the backdrop of the catastrophic floods in 2013 in the Uttarakhand town.

“There were days on set when we were doing night shoots and rain shoots, underwater shoots and Ganga shoots and I was like there’s so much water and it’s really, really cold. In fact, I was joking on sets a lot, that I didn’t realise that it would be like this. And they were like, it’s called Kedarnath. You did release this,” Sara told the channel.

Shooting for Kedarnath in the cold weather was equally cumbersome for Sara while she also added that her feet hurt while she was dancing in heels. But despite that, we must say that Sara was wonderful in the trailer and we’re sure, will be magnificent in the film as well.

“There have been days when one has shot with a little bit of fever. There’s been days when one has shot because – the song for instance, I had pinned my dupatta and there were scratch marks on my back because of it. I was dancing in heels and my feet hurt. Sometimes, like I said, it was quite cold when we were shooting in Uttarakhand. But not just between action and cut. But actually between walking on set and walking off set, one doesn’t feel this stuff. People have said this to me before and I didn’t really realise this but it’s true. Whatever it was, any form of difficulty, even if it’s a sore throat or fever, the minute they would say, ‘Pack up’, I would go into the car feeling like a total victim, (mocks coughing), like I am really not well. And my spot girl would say, ‘You were fine all day’,” Sara added.

After Kedarnath, Sara will appear in Simmba opposite Ranveer Singh. Kedarnath is scheduled to release on December 7. Simmba releases the same month as well.
