The country’s most awaited and most anticipated wedding finally came to a close today as Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh became husband and wife. The newlyweds had gotten married first yesterday in a South Indian traditional Konkani wedding whereas today they got hitched again in a beautiful Anand Karaj ceremony. Deepika looked like a million bucks as she wore a red Sabyasachi designed lehenga with gold kaleerein, jadau jewellery, a nose ring, a big maang-tika, and a priceless diamond ring adorning her ring finger which reportedly costs a whopping Rs 1.3-2.7 crore!

Singer Harshdeep Kaur performed live as Deepika and Ranveer got married in the traditional Anand Karaj ceremony. Ranveer wore a red kanjeewaram sherwani also designed by Sabyasachi complete with a red and gold safa. He also wore jadau necklace for the wedding. Their marriage ceremony took three-and-a-half hours.

Ranveer's and Deepika's wedding rings were truly special and had stood for dependability and elegance respectively. Authentic Sindhi lunch was served at the wedding including trademark Sindhi dishes like Dal Pakwaan, Sai Bhaaji and Sindhi Curry.

After the ceremony, the couple will be hosting a lavish party for their intimate guests as they start their new life as a married couple. This lavish party is the last night in Italy as the guests will be flying back from tomorrow. The couple has ordered around 50 special cocktails to be served for their guests.

Deepika and Ranveer will be coming back to Mumbai with their families on November 18 and will proceed to hold three receptions. The first one will be in Bengaluru on November 21 for Deepika’s extended family. The couple will then host two receptions in Mumbai, one on November 28 and another on December 1. The first reception is for friends and family whereas the December 1 reception will be for the Bollywood fraternity.
