Ranbir Kapoor’s and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra postponed, to release on Christmas 2019

Ranbir Kapoor’s and Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film Brahmastra – Part 1 will release on Christmas 2019 as opposed to the date announced by the makers previously. Brahmastra was scheduled to release on August 2019 but has now been postponed till December. The film is being directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.

On Twitter, Dharma Productions announced the revised release date of Brahmastra with the caption, “Bringing the big screen spectacle - #Brahmāstra Part 1 on #Christmas2019.”

In that case, Brahmastra will end up clashing with Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick 2 considering the fact that makers had announced that the Salman Khan film will also hit screens on Christmas 2019. Although Nadiadwala made this announcement in February, no update has been provided on the status of Kick 2 so far. Salman is currently filming Bharat and is expected to begin work on Dabangg 3 after that.

Dabangg 3, on the other hand, was scheduled to release on Christmas 2019 as well but Salman has reportedly postponed it to 2020 – as a result of which KJo is releasing his film in the slot.

Well, we’ll let you know whatever the scenario is for sure.

Brahmastra is a fantasy film and co-stars Amitabh Bachchan. While speaking to a news agency in September, Alia said that the entire cast and crew are excited about the film.

Akkineni Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy will also feature in Brahmastra.
