2018 has been massive as far as debut films of star kids are concerned. Before Sara Ali Khan set foot in the Hindi film industry with Kedarnath, Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor made her mark with Dhadak in July. And while comparisons are natural, Sara steered clear from it as she spoke in favour of Janhvi at the trailer launch of her debut film, held in Mumbai, on November 12.
Sara, in fact, has watched Dhadak as well and praised the film, saying, “Janhvi has done amazingly and I saw Dhadak.”

During the event, Sara was also asked whether a face-off could be possibly witnessed in 2018 between Janhvi and her considering the fact that the former made her debut as well. On that, Sara’s Kedarnath co-star Sushant Singh Rajput answered, “There have been years where two people got the best debut of the year award so you never know.”
Apart from Kedarnath, Sara will also appear in Ranveer Singh’s Simmba opposite the actor and said, “I feel really very lucky that not one but I’ve two films this year.” Kedarnath is a love story set in the backdrop of the catastrophic floods in 2013 in the Uttarakhand town.

Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, Kedarnath is scheduled to release on December 7. Simmba releases the same month.
