Bollywood's bonafide beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan turns 45 today. Since she is known to avoid lavish birthday parties, the actress has headed off to Goa with her husband Abhishek Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan to spend some quality family time. And guess what, it was the doting hubby Abhishek who planned their getaway and whisked away his wife to a quiet place on her special day.
Our cameras caught the Bachchans at the airport on their way to Goa. While the birthday girl looked stunning in blue denim and white shirt, Abhishek complimented her by opting for a casual look. Check out the pictures:
Meanwhile, a report in a leading daily suggests that Abhishek, who has been busy shooting for Anurag Basu's next in Kolkata, took a break from his work schedule to ring in his wife's 45th birthday. The daily quoted a source as saying, "Abhishek wanted to be by Aishwarya's side when she rang in her birthday. So, he flew down on Monday night from Anurag Basu's shoot and also hosted a surprise party at the Bachchans' Juhu address last night. It was a private do with only family and close friends in attendance."
Reportedly, their Goa vacation is a quick family getaway before the actor heads back to the shoot of Anurag's film again on November 4. As for Aishwarya, she will make her annual contribution to the Cancer Patients Aid Association this year as well, a practice she has been following on her birthday over the past eight years.
On the work front, Abhishek and Aishwarya will be seen together in Anurag Kashyap's Gulaab Jamun.
