It looks like Saif Ali Khan's and Amrita Singh's daughter Sara Ali Khan is on a roll! Even before her debut film Kedarnath, slated to release on December 7, the young actress was roped in for Rohit Shetty's Simmba, starring Ranveer Singh. And now we hear, Sara has already bagged her third project and will apparently be seen in Imtiaz Ali's forthcoming directorial, featuring Kartik Aaryan in the lead.
For the unversed, the Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor, who has been busy shooting for Luka Chuppi with Kriti Sanon, was apparently finalised for the film recently. A leading daily quoted a source as saying, "It’s another unique love story, which will invariably have a slight travelogue flavour, like all Imtiaz films. He wanted a new actress opposite Kartik. He had seen a few rushes of Kedarnath and felt Sara has a great screen presence and is good at delivering dialogues. He approached her with the script and the newbie liked the idea."
Reportedly, the film is slated to go on floors in February 2019, after both of Sara's films — Kedarnath and Simmba — release in December this year. "They sat for narrations. Now, the star daughter, who has a strong role in the romantic drama, has finally given her nod. The modalities are being worked out," the source added. What's more, Sara's daddy Saif, who had worked with Imtiaz previously in Love Aaj Kal (2009), is happy with her daughter working with Imtiaz and feels the writer-director will tap into her potential.
Well, with Imtiaz’s soul-stirring storytelling combined with the fresh pairing of Sara and Kartik, we’re sure the film will be a sure shot winner at the box office.
