Rohit Shetty's upcoming action drama Simmba starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan is currently in its last schedule and is slated to release on December 28. The film, which is touted to be an out-and-out masala entertainer, will see Ranveer as Inspector Sangram Bhalerao while Sara will play his love interest. Now amidst the raging curiosity surrounding the film, PeepingMoon.com has exclusively learned that the trailer of Simmba will be out on December 3.
We hear that Ranveer has taken the decision to bring out the much-awaited trailer in the first week of December since the limelight will already be on him, considering his starrry wedding reception around December 1-2. Well, that's certainly a smart move on the actor's part to cash in on the buzz following his impending wedding with girlfriend Deepika Padukone on November 14-15. Moreover, with the trailer coming out on December 3, Ranveer will be able to give his undivided attention to the film promotions post his return from the honeymoon trip.
Not to forget, Sara's debut film Kedarnath is also slated to release on December 7. So after its release, the debutante actress would be taking over the promotions of Simmba in a full-fledged way.
Meanwhile, it is rather interesting to note that Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, which is bankrolling Simmba, is aiming at only a 25-day window for creating a stir ahead of Rohit's film. On the other hand, the makers of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero, which is set to release a week before Simmba on December 21, are unveiling its trailer on November 2 to mark the actor's birthday.
Since both films are this year's biggest releases, how their unique marketing strategies impact their box-office numbers, is still left to be seen.
