Shah Rukh Khan’s much-awaited Christmas release Zero will now be the sole player at the box office as the clash with Hollywood film Aquaman and the Anupam Kher starrer The Accidental Prime Minister based on the life of former Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh is averted.
Reports are coming in that Aquaman will now release on December 7 and The Accidental Prime Minister will hit the screens on December 14. However, Zero will stick to its original schedule of releasing on December 21.

A source told a leading daily, “This means that there will be a lot more screens available for Zero. The Accidental Prime Minister and Zero share some distributors, which is why they have decided to shift their release dates to avoid cannibalization of their own business. They want to be able to give Zero the kind of treatment it deserves as it is Shah Rukh Khan’s most ambitious film to date. Reports on the film are fabulous, and it is expected to mark SRK’s return to King Khan status.”

Aquaman is being looked forward to and the trailer has already instilled interest amongst the audience. Anupam’s political film has also piqued interest especially because of the looks of the actors who are playing political figures in the film.

Zero is jointly produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Colour Yellow Productions. The film is directed by Aanand L Rai and also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. SRK is playing a vertically challenged character in the film who is named Bauua Singh and has now got a Twitter handle which is keeping everyone amused with his hilarious tweets.
