Nana Patekar has been accused by Tanushree Dutta of sexual harassment and intimidation but has denied all claims by the actress saying that nothing of the sort happened on the sets of his 2008 film Horn Ok Pleasss. While Tanushree has spoken to almost all media houses and given her version of the story, Nana has largely maintained silence. In a short statement to a news channel, he said, “What can I do about it? Tell me? How would I know? What does she mean by sexual harassment? There were 50–100 people on the sets with me. Will see what I can do legally.”
Nana had threatened to send a legal notice to the actress seeking an apology but has not served her any notice yet. Now, he spoke to a leading daily and said, “I am currently in Jaisalmer shooting. As soon as I reach Mumbai on October 7-8, I will call for a press conference. I want to face the camera and answer all your (media) questions. You can ask me anything on this matter. I don't have anything to hide. It totally depends on you as to what you want to believe in.”
He further added, “Do you think that I am a bad person? Don't people know anything about me? It doesn't matter to me whether people give importance to my good behaviour. I don't do much dancing in my films, so why would I ask anyone to do a vulgar step with me? In such a situation I can openly deny her (Tanushree) claims and say that she is lying, or I can drag her to court for trying to disrepute me. What else can I do? But I will come back and talk about all of this and I hope people will not make any judgment before that."
However, as per our sources, Nana’s advocate Rajendra Shirodkar said that the actor is not keeping well and is with his family in Pune. Tanushree’s claims were backed by a leading journalist who was present on the scene as well as the Assistant Director of the said film. She has also garnered much praise and support from Bollywood celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Twinkle Khanna, Parineeti Chopra, Renuka Shane, Swara Bhasker and Richa Chadha.
