I don’t do films for money now, says Baazaar actor Saif Ali Khan

Baazaar, which was struggling to get an appropriate release date has finally seen the light of the day. Slated for October 26th, 2018 release, the film is based on the backdrop of the stock market. The makers launched the grand trailer at the iconic BSE on Tuesday evening that witnessed the primary star cast, producers and the filmmaker Gauravv Chawla along with the star cast of the film.

Saif, who is currently enjoying the success of Sacred Games will be seen playing a top-notch businessman in the film. Considering the subject which has many risk factors, when asked Saif on being skeptical to sign the film initially, he says, “We have worked really hard to understand business and economy. The film is like a tale. We have made a film which is relevant to the Indian audience. A lot of factual research went into the film.”

There’s a scene in the trailer of Saif and debutante Rohan Mehra where the two face-off on money and emotions, Saif funnily said, balance is the key between emotions and maths is the way to go in real life.

Ask when how different your film choices have become from 90’s till now, the actor says, “I don’t think I do films for money now. Things are so different today. Life is beautiful and there’s always something on the plate. As an actor, I have grown a lot and the roles which are coming to me are far more interesting than in earlier days.”

Baazaar is being helmed by debutante director Gauravv Chawla, who is been assisting Nikkhil Advani for around 9 hours. The film stars Chitrangada Singh, Radhika Apte and late actor Vinod Mehra’s son, Rohan. Baazaar is co-produced by Emmay Entertainment, Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, and Kyta Productions.
