Abhishek Bachchan says he won’t do any film that could make Aaradhya awkward

Abhishek Bachchan has been applauded for his brilliant show in his new film Manmarziyaan, which featured him on screen after a hiatus of two years. The 42-year-old actor was questioned about his break quite often ahead of the release of the Anurag Kashyap-directed film but Abhishek, in an interview with a news agency, said that he will now choose his upcoming projects carefully considering the fact that he parents a six-year-old daughter.

While speaking to the agency, Abhishek said that he wouldn’t do a film that might make his daughter Aaradhya feel awkward. His career decisions, in his words, will henceforth be based on Aaradhya. “I will now choose whatever work I do in professional career based on Aaradhya. I would not personally, currently, like to make a film which I feel Aaradhya would feel awkward watching,” Abhishek told the agency.

Aaradhya is Abhishek’s first child with wife, actress Aishwarya Rai. The actor, during his interview, also said that neither he nor Aishwarya will influence Aaradhya’s career in any manner and will support every decision that she takes regarding her profession.

“As far as Aishwarya and I are concerned, be it tomorrow, twenty years down the line or whenever, whatever she decides, we will support her no matter what. That's what our parents did for us as well,” he added.

Abhishek is the son of veteran actors Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan. He will be seen next in Gulab Jamun, co-starring Aishwarya.
