Here's what Abhishek Bachchan has to say about rumours surrounding Dhoom 4

Speculations have been rife for a long time that Yash Raj Films is all set for the fourth installment of popular franchise Dhoom. Moreover, several quarters insisted that Shah Rukh Khan was next in line for the antagonist’s role in the film. But it looks like, the rumours were all just fabricated and there has been no development on the project till now.

In an interaction with a leading daily, Abhishek Bachchan, who has been a constant face in all the Dhoom films, dismissed all talks of the project with filmmaker and YRF honcho Aditya Chopra. "Usually, whenever Dhoom happens, there are several stories doing the rounds, but I won’t believe any till filmmaker Aditya Chopra confirms it. For all the three parts in the franchise, he just picked up the phone and told me, 'Okay, we are ready and we are starting the film.'"

He further claimed that there has been no discussion or development on Dhoom 4 yet.

Meanwhile, it was also reported recently that Junior Bachchan will be a part of Bunty Aur Babli’s remake. When asked about it, he quipped that there’s no truth to that as well.

However, the actor confirmed that he's reuniting with his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on the silver screen with Gulab Jamun. Divulging details on the project, he said, "It’s a heartwarming story. Ash and I liked the script when writer-director Sarvesh Mewara narrated it to us about a year ago. We have been developing it since then, but we haven’t put a date to it yet. It shall go on the floors soon." Well, we couldn't be more excited.

Abhishek made his comeback to the celluloid after a hiatus of two years with Anurag Kashyap's Manmarziyaan. The film, also starring Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal, hit the screens on September 14.
