It’s Akshay Kumar’s birthday but we should be grateful to him for rewarding us with a gift on his special day. And the gift is a new poster of his character from his upcoming film 2.0, co-starring Rajinikanth. Akshay stars as the antagonist in 2.0 and appears fierce in the poster in a rugged jacket while he displays a ruthless expression.
In his tweet, Akshay explained that his role of Dr. Richard in 2.0 is his most powerful character so far. Dr. Richard, in Akshay’s words, is a dark superhero for those who don’t have a voice. “Here’s a special birthday treat for all my fans. Sharing with you my most powerful character & one which has probably stayed with me for the longest time. I am the dark superhero for those who don’t have a voice! HUMANS BEWARE!,” Akshay tweeted along with the poster, which occupied the top spot on the trends list on Twitter soon after being made available online.

The teaser of the much-awaited film, meanwhile, will release on September 13. 2.0 will mark Akshay’s debut in the Tamil film industry while it is also his first film with Rajinikanth. The film co-stars Adil Hussain and Sudhanshu Pandey.
2.0 is a sequel to the 2010 blockbuster Enthiran (Robot) which also featured Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Rajinikanth will reprise his role as scientist Vaseegaran while Amy Jackson appears in a supporting role. AR Rahman is responsible for the music of the film.
Directed by Shankar Shanmugham, 2.0 is scheduled to release on November 29.
