Not just industry folks but the entire nation was shaken when Sonali Bendre announced that she had to leave the country for treating cancer that metastasized over the time. But the actress has not lost any hope; in fact, she has only been an inspiration. Sonali has been keeping her fans updated with her constant posts and pictures. Today, she shared yet another picture and a caption that would melt your heart and empower you, at the same time.

Sonali had been proudly open about her baldness before. Now, she decided to opt for a wig and she shared this news with equal pride. She started her post by citing the great actor Al Pacino, “Vanity is my favourite sin.” Admittedly, Sonali related to Al Pacino’s quote but also said that gluttony was her favourite sin. Talking about her choice to don a wig, she wrote, “It's important to do what makes you happy, even if it's something as simple as wearing a wig, bright red lipstick, high heels... All that white noise doesn't make a difference in the larger picture. No one can tell you what's right or wrong for you.”

Turns out, it was her friend and actress Priyanka Chopra who helped Sonali with a beauty agency that developed the brunette wig for her. In the video, Sonali showed a montage of her journey in going bald to brunette again. Her pictures with a slight smile changed to a huge grin as she found her happiness in a wig.

Though, things weren’t as easy as it sounds. The actress, too, had her moments of confusion and self-doubt. She decided to stick to what she preaches, to do what made her happy. She concluded her note by saying, “Only you know what would make you feel good, and what works best for you.”
