Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ engagement party was attended by celebrities including Alia Bhatt, the Ambanis, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, along with Arpita Khan Sharma and her husband Aayush Sharma, on August 18. But all eyes were on Deepika Padukone as several quarters of the press were busy speculating whether she would attend the party. However, if reports are to be believed, it appears that Deepika wasn’t even invited to begin with.

Deepika’s rumoured boyfriend Ranveer Singh was apparently invited, and as per a leading website, she would have attended Priyanka’s party had she received an invitation. Ranveer, nevertheless, couldn’t make it to the celebration.

“Deepika has always been supportive of Priyanka and she would have definitely gone to wish her if she was invited. In fact, everyone knows Ranveer and DP are a couple and will walk down the altar this November. So, it’s odd that PC left Dippy’s name out of her guest list. Who does that? Why would you invite one half of a couple and leave the other one out?” a source told the website.

Priyanka and Deepika, co-stars of Bajirao Mastani, also appeared together on the fourth season of Karan Johar’s celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan.

Priyanka and Nick’s roka was held on august 18 as per traditional customs at her Mumbai residence. Close friends including Arpita Khan Sharma, Anusha Dandekar and Shrishti Behl Arya attended it apart from the actress’ sister Parineeti Chopra.

Arpita and her husband Aayush Sharma, Parineeti, filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj and producer Siddharth Roy Kapur, also attended Priyanka and Nick’s engagement party.

Priyanka, 36 and Nick, 25, met at the Met Gala in 2017 but both started dating a couple of months ago if reports are to be believed. Nick apparently proposed to Priyanka on her birthday on July 18 in London.
