Simmba: Ranveer Singh a.k.a Sangram Bhalerao pledges to fight against crime, this Independence Day

It is right to say that producer Karan Johar and director Rohit Shetty's much-awaited collaboration Simmba, featuring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan has been roaring aloud ever since it was first announced. After introducing Inspector Sangram Bhalerao through an Instagram video, the makers of Simmba are back with another one introducing the prep that goes into being Sangram Bhalerao or being Rohit Shetty Ka Hero!

It seems like Bollywood is out on a trip to make Independence day special for their fans with little snippets and videos. Rohit Shetty was no different. Rohit and Ranveer shared a video on their Instagram handle that shows the hardwork and energy behind bringing the characters alive. After the crazy "Rohit Shetty Ka Hero" trend, now Ranveer has moved to "POWER OF SIMMBA" as his latest trend to promote the film.

The sneak-peek video emphasizes on the issues of crimes against women and shares powerful one-liners like "If you don't fight crime against women, the next victim could be from your family", "This Independence Day pledge to fight against crime", and "Those who commit crime against women will be punished in his way." The snippet, even though short, is really powerful.

Ranveer, who was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum-opus Padmaavat as Allauddin Khilji, is all geared up for Simmba. And his frequent poses and stints with the paparazzi is a proof. As reported previously in a leading daily, “The film’s first schedule has been shot at Ramoji film city in Hyderabad at a blitzkrieg speed, and 35% of the film’s shooting has been completed.”

In the film, Ranveer will be seen playing the character of a policeman while Sara will play his love interest. Interestingly, Rohit’s favourite actor Ajay Devgn is expected to make a cameo appearance during the climax. In fact, Simmba, which is the remake of Telugu film Temper, is touted to be wackier and crazier than the Singham films directed by Shetty.
