Gym buddies to best friends, actresses Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif have time and again busted the myth of two girls not supporting each other. Gone are the days when two actresses would keep distances and fight over men and other things unimportant.
However, from the time Alia's alleged relationship with Katrina's ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor started doing the rounds, buzz is that things have turned sour between the two leading ladies. In fact, several reports went ahead to suggest that Katrina has stopped liking Alia's pictures on Instagram and their close bond has hit the rock bottom. But now in at a recent event, Alia refuted all rumours of a tiff with Katrina.
When asked if they were no longer friends, Alia told a leading news agency, "No, straight up. I've always been very fond of Katrina. I believe that it's two ways. I don't know why other people feel differently."
Speaking on Katrina not liking her pictures, she said, "I will send her a message and ask her to start liking my pictures. If that's the barometer of friendship we must start liking everyone's pictures... Maybe I just don't have very good pictures, that's possible. But no, there's no stress whatsoever."
Meanwhile, Alia's growing romance with Ranbir is enough fodder for gossip these days! Albeit they were linked only after Karan Johar announced them being cast along with Amitabh Bachchan in his upcoming magnum opus, Brahmastra. On the other hand, Katrina and Ranbir dated on an off between 2008 to 2016 and have also starred in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Raajneeti and Jagga Jasoos together.
On the work front, the two ladies have an interesting lineup of films. Apart from Brahmastra, Alia has Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy opposite Ranveer Singh, Kalank and KJo's recently announced historical drama Takht. Katrina will next feature in Aanand L Rai's Zero, alongside Anushka Sharma and Shah Rukh Khan.
