Priyanka Chopra unveils first look of Vishal Bharadwaj's Pataakha; trailer out at midnight

National-Award winning filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj is all set for his next film Pataakha starring Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan. Sanya got recognition with superstar Aamir Khan starrer Dangal while Radhika will make her big Bollywood debut after a successful stint in Ekta Kapoor's TV show Meri Aashiqui.

After intriguing the audience with the teaser and individual posters of the star cast with a little character description, the makers have released the first look poster of the film. Interestingly, it was actress Priyanka Chopra who unveiled the first look on Twitter as she congratulated the team.

We totally love Sanya's and Radhika's fierce expressions in the poster and the other actors too seem to be well-ingrained in the character.

Vishal had earlier released a mini clip hinting at the trailer unveiling date, which is midnight tonight (August 15). Now looking at the poster, we are certain that we can expect a gritty drama once again from Vishal, just like his previous films OmkaraMaqbool and Haider.

Based on Charan Singh Pathik’s short story, Do Behnein, the film revolves around two sisters, Badki and Chhutki who grow up in a small village in Rajasthan and are constantly at war but when marriage separates them, they realize they can’t seem to live with or without each other. Reportedly, as part of their preparation, the girls learned to milk buffalos, thatch roofs, and plaster their walls with dung, walk for a kilometer balancing matkas full of water on their head and one around their waist. Sanya and Radhika also took training in a Rajasthani dialect.

Apart from Sanya and Radhika, the film also stars Sunil Grover, Vijay Raaz, Saanand Verma, and Namit Das and Abhishek Duhan. The film is produced by Ajay Kapoor of Kyta Productions and Vishal Bharadwa and is scheduled to release on September 28.
