Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor are teaming up for the first time onscreen in the upcoming horror-comedy Stree. Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Raj & DK the film has definitely piqued everyone’s interest. Now, the second trailer of Stree has been released and we get to meet Rajkummar’s character Vicky, a man of exceptional tailoring skills who can make from a ghagra to a night gown – 'Complete Ladies Fashion'.
When the first teaser was released it gave the feeling that the film is going to be a spook fest. However, when the first trailer came out we got to see that the film is going to be hilarious. Rajkummar and Aparshakti Khurrana along with Pankaj Tripathi and Abhishek Bannerjee stole the show with their one-liners and dialogues. However, this new trailer has Rajkummar’s stamp all over. He is the braveheart in the town of Chanderi who is not dressing up as a woman to ward off the mysterious ‘Stree’, rumoured to be the ghost that haunts the town during the Puja.

The film is based on a true phenomenon. The film is about an evil Stree (woman) who kidnaps men from the town only to leave behind their clothes. Rajkummar took to Twitter to release the new trailer which is full of laughter as well as adequately peppered with horror.

He introduces his character as the gifted ladies tailor whose clientele are predominantly men, and we see a range of characters from the film coming to him with fashion requests like ghaghra, blouse and even a palazzo, all accompanied by their mothers or wives. We also get to see a funny scene where Rajkummar’s own father in the film is shown dressed in his wife’s saree complete with bindi and the symbolic puja ki thali.
Rajkummar and Shraddha are busy with the promotions of the film. The makers of the horror-comedy have shared two songs Milegi Milegi and Kamariya which are ruling the charts. Stree releases on August 31, 2018.
