Sridevi's 55th Birth Anniversary: Anil, Manish and others celebs remember the veteran star
Legendary actress Sridevi passed away on February 24 this year in Dubai. The iconic superstar was in the UAE to attend Mohit Marwah and Antara Motiwala’s wedding along with her husband Boney Kapoor, younger daughter Khushi and extended family members. Her death left an irreplaceable void in the Bollywood film industry and the Kapoor family, who had been celebrating a wedding just hours before her untimely demise.
Sridevi was the reigning queen of Bollywood in the 1980s and early 1990s and had an impressive career which spanned over five decades. Known for her roles in Sadma, Chaalbaaaz and Mr. India amongst many others, she was the first female superstar of India. Be it her acting prowess or her fabulous comic timing, she made her way into everyone's hearts and undoubtedly, became Bollywood's Chandni.
It's Sridevi's 55th birth anniversary today, first since her demise earlier this year. Be it her family members, friends or the film fraternity, everyone has been paying their respects to the late actress.
Remembering her beloved mother on her birth anniversary, daughter Janhvi Kapoor shared a throwback picture, which shows little Janhvi nestled in Sridevi's arms. Boney Kapoor also features in the adorable family portrait.
Sridevi's co-actor and brother-in-law Anil Kapoor, with whom she had worked in films Mr India, Lamhe, Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Laadla and Judaai, also posted about the late actress. Anil's wife Sunita also posted a picture with her late sister-in-law.
