Saanya Malhotra-Radhika Madan-Sunil Grover starrer posters are 'Pataakha' in the truest sense

The shooting of National Award-winning director Vishal Bharadwaj’s film Pataakha was wrapped up last month and today individual posters of the star cast with a little character description have been released. The film stars Sanya Malhotra, Radhika Madan, Sunil Grover, Vijay Raaz, Saanand Verma, and Namit Das and Abhishek Duhan.

Earlier, Vishaal released a mini clip hinting at the trailer unveiling date which is August 14 midnight (i.e August 15).

Pataakha is a comedy based film on Charan Singh Pathik’s short story, Do Behnein. It revolves around two sisters Badki and Chutki who grow up in a small village in Rajasthan and are constantly at war with each other but when marriage separates them they realize that they can’t seem to live with or without each other. The posters for the characters were released today and we must say all of them look exceptionally well-ingrained in the character that they play.

Sunil’s poster reads, ‘Dipper Naradmuni’, and apparently, the ace comedian and actor will be seen in a completely different avatar. If we go by the name then we can conclude that Sunil might play the character who tries to instigate fights.

Saanand’s poster shows him dressed as a groom and by the caption, it seems that he isn’t one of the most decent folks in the film and has a roving eye. Saanand is a popular television actor who plays the role of Saxena in Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain.

Radhika’s poster shows her smoking a beedi and the tagline indicates that she might be innocent looking but is not naïve at all. This is the Bollywood debut of the television actress who gained name and fame with the serial Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi.

Sanya plays the role of the younger sister but she should not be taken lightly. Her poster shows her holding a rifle and smirking while wearing shades. Now, isn’t that super cool? Bharadwaj really knows how to spin a story with only a still.

Last but not the least, Vijay is shown as a worried father who cannot fathom the fact that why do his daughters share such animosity between them.

The film is produced by Ajay Kapoor of Kyta Productions and Vishal Bharadwaj. The trailer of Pataakha will release on August 15, while the film is scheduled to release on September 28.
