Chin Chin Chu: Sonakshi Sinha’s Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi song is funky and peppy

Sonakshi Sinha is back with a bang with her latest Bollywood offering in the form of Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, the sequel to the well-loved film Happy Bhag Jayegi has also lent her voice to yet another peppy and funky song. However, this time around it is not an original composition but a remake of Geeta Dutt’s 1958 iconic song Mera Naam Chin Chin Chu from the film Howrah Bridge. The iconic number featured Helen in the lead.

The reprised version features Sonakshi, Jassie Gill, Piyush Mishra and Jimmy Sheirgill. The song has been recreated to include Punjabi lyrics and a Punjabi fervour to it with Sonakshi and Jassie doing justice to the song with their fresh voices. Much like the original song the new reprised version is also set in a Chinatown kind of setting where the lead star cast finds themselves in. What follows is a hilarious situation where the four are seen singing and dancing to get out of the seemingly dangerous situation. It is a fun song that is a great addition to the album.
