Post Veere Di Wedding success, has Kareena Kapoor Khan hiked her fee by 50 per cent?

Kareena Kapoor Khan made her Bollywood comeback after a gap of two years with Shashanka Ghosh's Veere Di Wedding, iwhich released earlier this year. The film, which revolved around the lives of four girls, not only did exceedingly well at the box-office but Kareena's role of Kalindi was appreciated by the audience and critics alike.

Now if a report in a leading daily is to be believed, Bebo has hiked her fee post the success of Veere Di Wedding. A source was quoted to the daily, "Though Veere was a four-girl project, the film's opening and initial footfalls can be credited to Kareena's stardom. It is only fair that she capitalize on her star power, which is why she has increased her fee for the next few films. She apparently charged a ballpark figure of Rs 7 crore for Veere Di Wedding. Her upcoming films will have her quoting Rs 10 crore-plus, negotiable depending on the number of days she is required to work on the project and the value she is bringing to the table."

If it indeed is true, Kareena will be one of the highest paid actresses in B-town.

Meanwhile, on the work front, the actress will next be seen opposite Akshay Kumar in Good News and the two will reunite on the screen after a gap of nine long years. The film, based on surrogacy, also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani in pivotal roles.

Interestingly, she will also feature in Karan Johar's recently announced period film, Takht. The film will have an ensemble cast including KJo's protegee Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar, along with debutante Janhvi Kapoor and her uncle Anil Kapoor. Takht will release in 2020 and the screenplay is penned by Sumit Roy.
