Is Ajay Devgn all set to make his Tamil Debut with Kamal Haasan's Indian 2?

After Akshay Kumar's much-anticipated Tamil film debut in Rajinikanth starrer 2.0, it seems another B-town actor is all set to make his foray into Tamil films. Well, we are talking about the Singham of tinsel town, Ajay Devgn. Buzz is that Ajay has been roped in for 2.0 director S Shankar's next film Indian 2, also featuring Kamal Haasan.

Kamal, who is currently promoting his upcoming film Vishwaroopam 2, confirmed rumours of Ajay's inclusion in the sequel of his film. During a recent interaction with a leading website, when Kamal was asked about it, he said, "That's what I have been told. It is the director's call." Now, if the collaboration materialises, Indian 2 will mark Ajay’s K-town debut.

Apparently, Ajay will play the role of villain in the film, much like Akshay's role of an antagonist in 2.0. It is rather interesting to note that Akshay makes his Tamil debut with the sequel to Robot, i.e., 2.0, Ajay on the other hand may make his Tamil debut with a sequel to Indian. In fact, both the sequels are helmed by S Shankar.

The sequel, Indian 2 is expected to go on floors in Ramoji Rao Film City, Hyderabad after Kamal wraps up the shooting of reality show Bigg Boss Tamil. The film will reportedly star Nayanthara as the female lead opposite Kamal.

She even returned to Tamil cinema after almost two decades in Dhanush starrer Velaiyilla Pattathari 2, which was directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth. Now with Ajay following his wife's footsteps, we cannot wait to witness him on the silver screen.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ajay has projects like Total Dhamaal and Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior. He has also been roped in for Luv Ranjan's untitled film with Ranbir Kapoor. Apart from this, Ajay will also be seen in Neeraj Pandey’s Chanakya, based on the life legendary football coach Syed Abdul Rahim.
