Shweta Bachchan Nanda's father-in-law Rajan Nanda breathed his last on Sunday night at the age of 76. As per recent reports, he passes away at a hospital in Gurgaon. Shweta's father Amitabh Bachchan too confirmed the news on his blog by writing, "My relative Mr Rajan Nanda, Nikhil's father and father-in-law of Shweta, just passed away. Leaving for India."
Big B, who was shooting for Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra in Bulgaria, is on his way back to India. On the other hand, Shweta's brother Abhishek Bachchan and sister-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan already arrived in Delhi for the last rights.
For the unversed, Shweta is married to Rajan Nanda's son Nikhil Nanda, are the two are parents to daughter Navya Naveli and son Agastya Nanda. Rajan Nanda was the chairman of Escorts Group and his son Nikhil is the managing director. He was married to Raj Kapoor's eldest daughter Ritu Nanda and is survived by his wife and daughter Natasha, apart from son Nikhil.

Speaking about the businessman's sudden demise, Big B added on his blog, "Yes, the personal tragedy is now in discloser and transmitted… but it had a lead… a lead of distress and anxiety and apprehension from a time of some immediate length… the obvious nested facts were not pressed into the print of this page, but there were hidden hints of them in it. My hidden heart can bleed within… unseen… but it takes not away the pain of its emission.”
Meanwhile, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor's daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni also shared the news on Instagram. She is married to Bharat Sahni, a close relative of the Nanda family.
