Aishwarya Rai Bachchan talks about the Woh Kaun Thi remake and things are dicey

Before Fanney Khan came into the buzz, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was in news for working in the remake of 1964 film, Woh Kaun Thi, which features Manoj Kumar and Sadhana in the lead.

The film's producer, Prernaa Arora of KriArj Entertainment had announced that they are considering Aishwarya for the film. She also mentioned that they have also got the rights to retain the two most iconic songs from the film -- Lag Ja Gale and Naina Barse Rimjhim, from the original. Aishwarya, however, always maintained that she has been approached with the script but nothing is finalised yet.

There's an update in the news now. Aish, during one of the promotional interviews for Fanney Khan, talked about the film in question and said that the things are even after months, it's yet to be finalised. While giving details to an entertainment portal, the actress said, "I liked the idea, we agreed and then the news got announced. Once it’s out there in the turf, it will be consumed so that’s where we left it off at".

She added, "I was keen to hear the writer’s narrative but I got busy. First Cannes came, then Fanney Khan song shoot happened and the film’s release so for the last two-and-half months the makers and I haven’t met on this at all. Ideally, news shouldn’t come out till everybody says a yes. Now, let me figure what’s going on in that".

It was also rumoured that Shahid Kapoor was approached to play the role opposite Aishwarya in the film. However, seems like there's a lot that needs to be cleared about the film now.
