Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra are all set to reunite on the silver screen after sharing screen space in Vinil Mathew’s 2014 romcom Hasee Toh Phasee. They will be featuring in Ekta Kapoor and Shailesh R Singh’s yet untitled production. The film is the directorial debut of Prashant Singh who has previously assisted Aanand L Rai on Kangana Ranaut’s breakaway hit Tanu Weds Manu and Dhanush-Sonam Kapoor starrer Raanjhana. The project is all set to roll by next week.
The Sid-Pari starrer is entirely set in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar where the first schedule will commence. Reportedely, both actors will be seen in desi avatars and have already started prep for their roles which includes getting the dialect and the Bihari accent right. The film is rumoured to be based on the evil social practice of 'pakadwa vivah' which is groom kidnapping.

Talking about the film, Sidharth told a leading daily, “We’ve given it an interesting spin and made it funnier. It’s a completely new space for me as I’m going back to that Hindi belt from where I hail. At heart, I’m still a small-town boy.”
On the work front, Sidharth is looking forward to starting work on the biopic of Kargil war hero Vikram Batra which will reportedly star Kiara Advani opposite the SOTY actor. Meanwhile, Parineeti recently wrapped up Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s forthcoming romcom Namastey England opposite Arjun Kapoor in London and will also be seen in Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar with Arjun and in Kesari alongside Akshay Kumar.
On the other hand, producer Ekta Kapoor has been basking in the success of her last release Veere Di Wedding that starred Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shikha Talsania, Swara Bhaskar and Sumeet Vyas in the lead, and minted over 100 crore at the box office.
