Salman Khan is Bollywood's most sought after eligible bachelor and has been linked to many of his co-actresses. Some of them have been an integral part of his life. However, there is one actress who was never linked-up with the actor - Juhi Chawla. Although Juhi was a contemporary heroine during Salman's heydays, she never shared screen space with him (except a cameo in Deewana Mastana).  However, nobody can even imagine in their right senses that Salman wanted to marry the actress rather than working with her.

Trust the good old internet to come up with answers. An old video of Salman has resurfaced and is going viral where he confesses the truth about his equation with Juhi. He says, “She (Juhi) is very sweet and adorable girl. I asked her father if you will let her get married to me. He said ‘NO’.” The interviewer tried to probe further and asked the reason behind the denial and Salman said that he didn’t fit the bill.

We wonder whether this refusal made Salman never work with Juhi even though he worked with all the leading actresses of the time like Madhuri Dixit, Sridevi, Karisma Kapoor and the like. When Salman was asked about him not working with the actress in films he laid the blame on Juhi’s doorstep saying that she doesn’t want to work with him.

Juhi appeared on Karan Johar’s talk show Show Koffee With Karan with Madhuri and went on record to say that somebody had spread a rumour that she didn’t want to work with Salman which was not the case. Juhi confessed that she would often run into the actor but the superstar always behaved aloof and looked as if he didn’t know who she was. “So I really didn’t know what was going on in his mind.” In Karan's famous rapid fire she even categorised Salman as the 'brother'," said Juhi.

However, ironically the two shared a brief scene in David Dhawan’s laugh-a-riot comedy film Deewana Mastana that starred Anil Kapoor, Juhi, and Govinda in the lead roles. The film is a love triangle where both Anil and Govinda try to woo Juhi but she eventually gets married to Salman. Now, isn’t that ironic that the only scene they have done in their long Bollywood career is where they eventually get married?

Funny, how life pans out, no?
