It was only yesterday that actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui intrigued his fans after he Instagrammed a picture of himself with a rather unknown woman. Posting a selfie with her, he captioned it: "Ye ladki mere रोम रोम (Rome Rome) में hai."
Now as the netizens kept wondering about the identity of the woman for almost a day, trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to social media on Thursday morning to reveal that the woman in Nawazuddin's photo is Italian actress Valentina Corti. He also revealed that the actress will feature alongside Nawaz in Tannishtha Chatterjee's directorial debut.

For the uninitiated, Tannishtha and Nawaz go long back right from their National School of Drama days where the actor was Tannishtha’s senior. Both actors have been friends for over 14 years. The two have previously worked together in Mangesh Hadawale’s 2011 drama Dekh Indian Circus and have also featured in Garth Davis’s Dev Patel and Nicole Kidman-starrer Lion.
As for the upcoming film, Tannishtha has already started work on the pre-production of her film and plans to start shooting later this year.
On the work front, Nawaz is reveling in a heap full of praises for his portrayal of Ganesh Gaitonde in Anurag Kashyap's and Vikramaditya Motwane's web series, Sacred Games. The venture also marks India's foray into the world of Netflix (an OTT platform), in the originals category.
Apart from that, the actor will also be seen in for Ghoomketu, Genius and Nandita Das' Manto, based on the life of Urdu writer Saasat Hasan Manto. He will also play the lead role in Abhijit Panse's Thackeray, a biopic based on the life and times of Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray. The biopic will hit the screens next year on January 23, 2019, commemorating Balasaheb’s birth anniversary. Followed by, Nawazuddin has joined the cast of a Tamil film too, co-starring Rajinikanth.
