Sridevi or Kamal Haasan: Janhvi Kapoor would love to reprise either roles from Sadma

Janhvi Kapoor, producer Boney Kapoor's and late screen legend Sridevi's elder daughter is every headlines' muse lately. With her debut film, Dhadak, set to release tomorrow, July 20, Janhvi has been the talk of the town. She makes her grand entry into Bollywood's showbusiness with Shahid Kapoor's step-brother Ishaan Khatter in a Dharma production film directed by Shashank Khaitan.

The young debutant is being showered with love and appreciation even before her movie makes it to the big screen. She gives credit to her genes that she has been blessed with looks as good as her late mother. However, she is adamant that it's only the physical attributes and her talent is something is constantly working on. The star kid has previously admitted that her life has revolved around films in more than one way.

Janhvi recalls watching her 1983's hit film Sadma, featuring Sridevi alongside Kamal Haasan, after which she avoided talking to her mother for a couple of days. Janhvi was in shock and could not believe that her mother is the same Reshmi who turned her back on Somu in the movie. In a recent interview with a leading daily, Janhvi admitted that she is truly attached to the movie.

When asked if she would like to reprise any of her mother's role, she instantly said, "It has to be Sadma." She supports her attachment to the film further by saying, "It’s such a touching movie. I can watch it anytime and I think it’s one of the best films I’ve ever seen. I can play my mother’s role or even Kamal ji’s (Haasan) role if there’s a gender reversal in the remake."

She has the looks for it, we're sure if a day comes and the remake takes concrete shape, Janhvi will not disappoint her fans.
