Not just hardcore training and learning nuances of hockey, Diljit Dosanjh also met paralympians for Soorma

Actor Diljit Dosanjh is playing the real-life character of hockey player Sandeep Singh in his next, titled Soorma. The actor has done a rigorous training to look like an athlete in the film. And it just didn't mean a strict workout and learning techniques to play hockey. But, he also had to meet paralympians to understand his character better.

Sandeep, who is more popularly known as Flicker Singh, had got accidentally shot by a bullet. He was told that he would never be able to play hockey again. However, he kept trying and always kept his hockey stick with him while on wheel chair.

Diljit needed to understand Sandeep's state of mind during that phase in his life. He also wanted to dig deep into the passion... that to-never-give-up attitude of athletes and therefore, both he and the makers considered a regular meeting with the paralympians a good idea.

Earlier, a video showing Diljit trying to train himself hard to prepare for the character, was released by the makers. After playing this character, investing all his blood and sweat in it, 'Soorma' Diljit Dosanjh is now promoting the film. Watch his training video here:
