2.0 is India's costliest film and carries a huge buzz around. A spiritual sequel to Robot (Enthiran in Tamil), released in 2010, the movie features Rajinikanth reprising his popular character of Dr Vaseegaran and Chitti. Akshay plays the role of the crow-antagonist.

In 2016, the first release date of the film was announced. 2.0 was slated for release during Diwali 2017. The date then got postponed to January 25, 2018. It was again delayed to April 14, 2018 and then it slipped to April 27, 2018. Rajinikanth's Kaala took that spot later and 2.0 went lingering into infinity.

However, with the new release date, seems like things have finally got back on the track and Rajinikanth's fans can start the celebration!
