Janhvi Kapoor belongs to a known film family in Bollywood. Her upbringing has been around films and she believes she's just born to entertain people. The actress is making a Hindi cinema debut with Dharma Productions' Dhadak, which features Ishaan Khatter opposite her.

Janhvi has earlier talked about how her mother was against her becoming an actress. The reason: she wanted to protect Janhvi from negativity and comparisons that are bound to come her way knowing that she's Boney Kapoor and Sridevi's daughter. However, a determined Janhvi is keen to fight them all and is ready to give her craft more than 100 per cent.

In a media interaction lately, Janhvi talked about the stereotypes that one gets associated with when he/ she belongs to a film family in Bollywood. When asked about her opinion on this widely discussed term -- nepotism, Janhvi was clear that she's aware of everything but she's not ready to give away her opportunities because somebody thinks she has had it easy in the industry.

She said, "I understand the debate. I think nepotism exists in every industry. I understand why some people feel robbed of this opportunity and they think I’ve been given it relatively easier. I get it and I think it’s horrible to feel like that because I understand there's a certain amount of struggle that goes in it but I value this opportunity. I am probably unbelievably lucky... I don’t know what I’ve done in which lifetime to get the opportunity like this".

I think it will be wrong if I took advantage of what I have if I was complacent, if I act like it's my birth right to be here but I want to work hard to prove myself and work harder for those people who think I have robbed their opportunity.

She added, "It'll be unfair to think even for a second that I belong here because no one does, unless you make your own place. I know there might be people working much more and much better than me, more talented than me. But, why should I sacrifice this opportunity which has been given to me just because there might be other people (wanting the same opportunity)?"

The 21-year-old also maintained that she has an honest faith in her craft and she believes that will help take her to places. Janhvi said, "I will give this (opportunity) my everything, because I am in love with this craft and this profession. I want to entertain people, I want to move people with my work and I saw it coming from an honest and genuine place. I mean it's coming from a place of love for this craft".

Hard working, confident and ready to take the world heads on --  Janhvi has arrived!
