Actor Ranveer Singh is currently shooting for Rohit Shetty's directorial, Simmba, in which he has been paired opposite newbie Sara Ali Khan. The actor will then start working on Kabir Khan's next, which is a biopic on celebrated Indian cricketer, Kapil Dev, titled '83. He also has an untitled film with director Maneesh Sharma, who has earlier helmed films like Band Baaja Baraat and Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, which featured Ranveer in the lead. His last on screen outing was Shah Rukh Khan starrer FAN, as a director.
A lot is being said about Maneesh's new film with Ranveer. A latest update on the same has it that it's going to be a Bollywood musical. As per a report in a leading daily, the movie is going to be a real musical film, much on the lines of Hollywood musicals like La La Land.

The report also quotes a source close to the film revealing, "This is Ranveer and Maneesh’s third film together, after Band Baaja Baaraat and Ladies vs Ricky Bahl. It’s a love story, but also a musical drama. The music will play a pivotal part in the narrative like it does in Hollywood musicals such as La La Land".
The report also reveals that the film is slated to go on floors in June, next year. The rest of the cast hasn't yet been announced.
With this movie, Ranveer will go back to the banner which launched him in Bollywood -- Yash Raj Films. The actor has sure got a stunning line-up of films.
