I don't think I am worth an autobiography, I have a lot to do: John Abraham

After a long break and being away from the big screen, John Abraham made the perfect comeback with his last film as an actor and producer with Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran. Following the legal battles with co-producer Prernaa Arora of KriArj Entertainment, John's film that had been on hold for a long time finally saw the light of the day. Now he is back in action and there is no stopping him.

With films like Sanju, Soorma, PadMan, Manto, Gold, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, the current Bollywood trend of biopics is quite on the high. However, John prefers staying afar from the trend. Anyhow, the actor has never quite followed the herd. In an interview to a leading daily, he said, “I don’t think I am worth it. Not at this point in time, at least. I have a long way to go, and so much to do.”

After Force 2 in 2016, the actor had taken a long two-year break. He justified his absence from the big screen saying that he wanted to do a film that would jog his brain cells, one that would create an impact. He said that in the time he did not come out with a film he had declined a lot of scripts.

Parmanu-The Story of Pokhran seems to have done exactly that. The film has reaped rich numbers at the box office and turned profitable for the producers. Besides John, the film also has Diana Penty and Boman Irani in the lead roles and tells the story of India’s successful nuclear tests carried out during the Atal Bihari Vajpayee led government.

Currently, John is working on Robbie Grewal’s film Romeo Akbar Walter also featuring Jackie Shroff. He is also looking forward to the release of his next, Satyameva Jayate starring Manoj Bajpayee and Aisha Sharma on August 31, 2018.
