Ayushmann-Sanya's Badhaai Ho to release this Dussehra; Vidyut's Junglee pushed to April 2019

Vidyut Jammwal's film Junglee, which was scheduled to release on October 19 this year, will now open on April 5, 2019. Vidyut shared the new release date with his fans and followers on Twitter on Monday. "We will go completely 'Junglee' at theatres with the release of our film on April 5 2019... Come and join the madness at a theatre near you," he tweeted.

Meanwhile, filling in the spot will Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra's Badhaai Ho. The film will now arrive in cinemas this Dusshera, after the festival date was left up for grabs by the previous holder Junglee. Talking about the movie, Ayushmann had earlier said, "It is a quirky film. We have still not revealed the one-liner of the film. It is from the space that I own and I had a lot of fun shooting for it in Delhi," he said.

Junglee is about a unique relationship between man and elephants and was locked for release on Dussehra previously. Backed by Vineet Jain and co-produced by Priti Shahani, it is directed by Chuck Russell, who has helmed Hollywood films such as The Mask, Eraser and The Scorpion King.

Vidyut essays the role of a veterinarian who on his homecoming to his elephant reserve, encounters and fights an international poachers racket. The new release date also means the movie would lock horns with Sonam Kapoor - Dulquer Salmaan's The Zoya Factor next year. Get ready for another clash of the titans we say!
