Actor Ranbir Kapoor says he is not interested in good reviews or praises for his acting prowess in a film, but in how audience has reacted to it. Interacting with the media lately to promote his upcoming, Sanju, the actor talked about how he thinks Box Office business for a film is important.
Unlike many who think good films don't get good business, Ranbir thinks that if the audience has rejected a film, it means there's something wrong with it no matter how much of efforts have you put into it.
When asked what does he think about the Box Office success of Salman Khan starrer Race 3, and will Sanju be able to match that kind of success, Ranbir said, "Salman sir has always pushed the bar with record breaking collections. Sanju, in that sense, more than me, is a Rajkumar Hirani film. It's a biopic on Sanjay Dutt and I guess all the excitement it has been able to caused is because of that, it's not because of me. So, I hope that it reflects in the kind of collections we get".
He also maintained that he will always keep working hard for the stories he believes in. His films haven't been doing well at the Box Office for sometime now but Ranbir knows how to move on. He said, "I am not interested in awards, I want my film to be good. Film achi hai, sab acha hai. Maine sabse zada life ki acting Bombay Velvet me ki thi. But, it didn't work. Audience is the king. There's something wrong with the film itself if the audience hasn't liked it. Sometimes, the film doesn't find its audience. But, I am not the kind of an actor who says 'logo ko samajh me nahi ai.' If it doesn't do well, it feels bad but then you move on".
Ranbir is counting on Sanju to take him out of this dry spell at the Box Office. The film releases on July 29.
