Rajkumar Hirani is considered one of the best entertainers in Bollywood. His films have everything -- a good story, strong performances, music that lives on you, powerful dialogues and surety of having paisa vasool entertainment. That also scares him a bit though.

In a recent media interaction in Mumbai that happened for his next, Sanju, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt, Hirani talked about how public's expectations scare him off sometimes. He said it's a huge task to match up to the expectations that audience have from you. He explained, "I lose objectivity at a point. It's difficult to be objective when you are working on one product for such a long time and watching the entire film again and again. So, you have to depend on others. All you can do is work hard. All I do is put my heart and soul into my story and then I leave it to audience to like it or dislike it. But, I am hell scared".

The successful director also revealed how the story of Sanju made Sanjay Dutt emotional. He said, "When I wrote the script of the film and went to Sanjay Dutt, I asked him to listen to the script once. And that was the first time in my life, because he's a macho man and he hides his emotions, I saw tears in his eyes and he was trying to hide them. He said 'you have given me a whole ride of my life in three hours' ".

The filmmaker debuted in Bollywood as a director with Munnabhai MBBS, which released in 2003 to a wide appreciation both commercially and critically, and featured Sanjay Dutt in a leading role. His other films that followed also comprised Dutt in its star-cast. In 2006, he released Lage Raho Munnabhai and PK in 2009. Both had Baba playing pivotal roles.
