Shah Rukh Khan is set to reunite with Amitabh Bachchan, but this time the scenario is different. The superstar is all set to work with Big B for an upcoming film, which he is producing. The duo has previously worked together in many films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and the most recent being Bhoothnath. The only difference this time is that they won't be sharing the screen space as SRK will be behind the camera this time.
Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Sunir Kheterpal and Akshai Puri, Azure Entertainment, Badla is being directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The shooting for the film has begun in Glasglow, Scotland; the name yet undecided. Big B is said to join the cast crew there soon.
Amitabh Bachchan made the announcement of the same with a Tweet. "'Badla', the film starts now.. I mean NOW in Glasgow..all the very best Sujoy..fatafati!! Joining you soon.. and greetings to the producer and production teams and crew."

Taapsi Pannu will be seen alongside Big B as the main lead in the film. This is her second venture with the veteran superstar after Pink. A source close to the film said, “It is a month-long schedule and they will be filming in London and Scotland. The film is a murder mystery which revolves around the duo and Taapsee’s love interest who is a businessman.”

Interestingly, Taapsee will be seen in her next film opposite junior Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan in Manmarziyaan.
Speaking about the film, director Sujoy Ghosh said, “When you get an actor like Mr Amitabh Bachchan, half your battle is won. He is every director’s delight and I am very excited to direct him. Also I have been trying to work with Taapsee for a while and this is the perfect story to collaborate with her. And above all my excitement is doubled that it is produced by SRK. Couldn’t have asked for a better team and now it is time for work.”
Sujoy Ghosh has earlier directed Kahaani, Kahaani 2 and Produced Amitabh Bachchan and Vidya Balan starrer 3 to name a few.
Currently, SRK is busy with his upcoming multi-starrer, Anand L Rai's, Zero. The plotline of Zero revolves around the lives of three characters played by Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka, all of whom are struggling to make the best of their lives. In the film, Shah Rukh plays the role of a dwarf; Katrina is an actress struggling with alcoholism while Anushka essays the role of a failed scientist. The film will also see Jimmy Sheirgill and R Madhavan in cameo roles and is slated to release on December 21, 2018.
