I don't just want to be a talented actor, I want to be a successful actor: Ranbir Kapoor

In one of such interactions with the media, the actor talked a bit more. Ranbir talked about his failures in life and what kind of films does he want to do now. When asked how does he react when his contemporaries like Varun Dhawan compliments him by saying 'he's the best actor in today's times,' an overwhelmed Ranbir said, "It feels good when my contemporaries say such things. Because they all are doing such good work. You know the time has changed. Audience is not ready to forgive you. There's more competition and more choices. If your film is good, you'll get love from audience."

Adding to how he doesn't want to be known just as a talented actor but also as a 'successful actor,' the actor said, "Mujhe sirf talented nahi banna, I also want to be a part of successful films. Talent ek baat hai, but if you aren't using your talent to make good films, it's a waste of talent. My intention now is to make wholesome entertainers and be a part of good films".

Talking about facing failure, Ranbir explained, "This is a very important phase in my life. When you are facing failure in life, your films aren't working... you see when you're starting your career, these things don't mater because you're young and you can see opportunities ahead of you. But, as the time passes by, you get a reality check. It's been 10 years now that I am working in the industry and I have worked on 14, 15 films. It of course feels bad now when my films don't work. But, there's always a learning process".
