Sanjay Dutt refuses to watch Sanju before audience, an emotional trailer is the reason?

Actor Sanjay Dutt has reportedly refused to watch Sanju before the film actually releases for the audience. Sanju, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, is a biopic on the actor's life and is one of the most anticipated films of the year. However, for Dutt, it's of course, more than just a film. For him, it's a revisit to his past, the life he has lead and the emotions he has shared with his family and friends.

As reported by a daily, the Munna Bhai star has asked Hirani to not hold a special screening of Sanju for him as he wants to see the film with the audience first. As mentioned in the report, the actor got moved by watching the trailer and therefore, decided to watch it once it's out for public display. The report quoted a source saying, "An emotional Sanjay has decided to watch the film only when it releases in theatres. He wants to relive his life as an audience member. There are a lot of instances that he is looking forward to watching, especially the memories with his parents".

Sanju, which has actor Ranbir Kapoor playing the titular character, has been made on the basis of a 200-hours long chat Hirani had with Dutt about his life. In fact, it is said that Dutt never asked the director to show him the script. He never got involved with the work of Sanju at any stage.

Also featuring Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Sonam Kapoor, Viky Kaushal, Dia Mirza and Jim Sarbh among others, Sanju is slated for release on June 29.
