Speculations were rife for sometime now that actress Mouni Roy has bagged RAW opposite John Abraham. And turns out the rumours were true. The Naagin star has now herself confirmed the news.
Talking to a daily, Mouni has revealed how she got the role without even auditioning for it. She called it the most exciting role among all she's doing currently and said, "I’ve given auditions in the past but this film just happened. I went for a meeting and the team instantly felt I suited the character as I have an oldworld vibe. They offered me the role and I immediately said ‘yes’. I wasn’t happy with the other offers I got around the time but I am excited about this film".
Mouni will be seen making her Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar in their upcoming, GOLD, directed by Reema Kagti. She is also working in Dharma Productions' Brahmastra, which also features Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan. Talking about working with Big B in the film, she said, "These days, I’m kind of numb. After facing the camera with Akshay sir, I’ve worked with Ranbir and Alia but am yet to shoot with Bachchan sir. When I do, I will be so nervous I’ll probably hide in a corner".
The actress rose to fame from playing Naagin in Colors' popular show. Apart from being a talented actress, Mouni is also a stupendous dancer and a voracious reader. RAW: Romeo Akbar Walter will have her featuring with John Abraham, Jackie Shroff and Sikander Kher.
